Lesley Hewett, a Laboratory Demonstrator in Forensic Science, has been named the 2016 recipient of the Award for Excellence in Teaching Assistance. In receiving this award, Ms. Hewett is recognized for her enthusiasm for teaching and her commitment to student learning and success. She is highly regarded by her students for her approachability, fairness, and helpfulness, and for her adaptable teaching style that models an impressive degree of communication, professionalism and organization. Ms. Hewett is lauded for her continuing efforts to implement the latest technologies and procedures to ensure that students have access to and experience in applying innovative analytical tools and approaches.
