Being Trent Green
This is your home - let's keep it Trent Green. We encourage you to consider your energy and water consumption and make efforts to reduce and eliminate wasteful use. Turn your lights and computer off when you aren’t using them. Take a few minutes to have a meal with friends on a reusable plate rather than getting in the habit of ‘eating on the run’. If you do need your food to-go, make sure to use Trent's ecoTray program. Carry a travel mug or water bottle. Reduce waste as much as possible and be sure that any waste you do create is accepted in our recycling or composting program. Make a choice. All of these small things add up over your day, add up in your college and add up throughout the campus.
We are all at varying stages of making these types of changes. Some have been making changes for years, and some have just only started. Talk about it, learn from each other and work together. Learn about the programs on campus that can help you to reduce your impact on the environment. Get involved with one of the many campus groups that make Trent green.
Every student experience is unique and will be enriched by becoming involved in the Trent community. Please click here to read one student account of her time at Trent and how it influenced her realization of the important role each person plays in taking care of our environment.
