Water Conservation
Located on the Otonabee River, water is a part of our campus life at Trent University. Similar to looking at Trent's energy use, water conservation has opportunities both in the efficiency of our facilities and in the habits we form around water use.
Over the last 10 years we have replaced most of our aging water fixtures on campus with modern, efficient ones. This, combined with conscientious water use from the Trent Community, has resulted in a reduction in water use on campus of 44%.
If you are doing a project on water at Trent, you can access data on the last ten years of water use on campus.
