Social Work Month 2023
What is it really like to be a Social Worker?
The month of March is Social Work Month. It is a time to recognize and honour the hard work that Social Workers do in our communities. Working across demographics and sectors, they work tirelessly in supporting and building stronger, healthier, more resilient communities.
In honour of Social Work Month, the Trent Social Work Department, with support from the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW) will be presenting two panel discussions on Thursday March 9th and Thursday March 23rd.
The evening will look at how panelists got to where they are in their career, their thoughts and insights into the field, and offer their advice for future social workers to stand out in the field. This is a great networking opportunity, and many of our panelists are leaders in their respective agencies. The Panelists will be different on each day; you are welcome to join either event that works for you, or both! We'll be moderating the event through a series of questions for each panelist.
