Deadline to apply for Fall Community-Based Research Projects
- Date: Saturday, February 18, 2023 - 9:32 AM to 11:59 PM
Community-based research brings together the knowledge and research needs of the community with the research expertise of Trent University faculty and students. Research questions come from a wide range of community groups and organizations including local municipalities, social service agencies, conservation authorities, and community interest groups. Pursuing community-based research with the TCRC is a rewarding way to earn academic credits while getting involved and contributing to your community. Your research will answer important questions posed by your community, and will help local organizations to do better work and to build a better Peterborough.
To get a sense of the kinds of research questions local non-profits, arts organizations, governments, and other groups are asking right now, browse our available projects. Then, sign up! You’ll make connections in the community, produce relevant research for organizations making a difference at the local level, and learn about topics you wouldn't get a chance to anywhere else.
Students interested in undertaking a project starting in Fall 2023 are advised to start planning early. Book an appointment with our Coordinator to learn how community-based research can fit into your academic plans!
