Virtual Signing Ceremony for Trent University and International University-Vietnam National University in Vietnam
In a historic first, Trent University and International University-Vietnam National University (IU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at a virtual ceremony to explore developing academic exchange and transfer programs for IU students to study at Trent.
The MOU was signed by both universities on June 3 through a ceremony conducted on Zoom, in part due to restrictions on international travel brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In these challenging times, Trent International continues to reach out in order to build collaborative relationships with partners and institutions at home and abroad,” said Glennice Burns, associate-vice president of Trent International. “Such relationships have never been more important given the complexities brought about by COVID-19 and the global environment. This MOU facilitates Trent’s outreach to one of the world’s fastest growing economies; more importantly, it also builds capacity for both institutions to develop programs that promote student mobility, academic exchange and the development of cutting-edge ideas that benefit our mutual communities. Trent University looks forward to a fruitful relationship with International University in the years ahead.”
