Trent University Congratulates Dr. Steven Murphy on Installation as New President of UOIT
Building on an already strong partnership, the Trent University community welcomes and congratulates Dr. Steven Murphy on the occasion of his installation as the fourth president and vice-chancellor of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT).
Dr. Leo Groarke, president and vice-chancellor of Trent University, and Joe Muldoon, head of Trent University Durham Greater Toronto Area, attended the installation ceremony at UOIT’s campus in Oshawa, Ontario.
“The Trent University community looks forward to working with Dr. Murphy and his team to continue to build on the strong partnership between our universities,” said President Leo Groarke. “As the Trent Durham GTA campus continues to grow in the region, it is the perfect time for both universities to explore opportunities for further academic partnership and the enhancement of existing programs and pathways.”
Trent University’s nearly 100 diverse and dynamic academic programs available across its two campuses and strengths across disciplines are complemented by the longstanding partnership with UOIT.
Together Trent University and UOIT have helped the East GTA to thrive during times of economic change.
“Trent and UOIT will continue to collaborate and drive prosperity in the region,” added Dr. Groarke.
