Looking for entry to medical or veterinary school? Look no further.

For the aspiring doctor and veterinarian, Trent University has partnered with St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies to provide you with the unique opportunity to graduate from Trent and receive direct entry into St. George’s University, a respected medical or veterinary school. It’s not only the chance to pursue your dream of becoming an M.D. or veterinarian, but also an opportunity to take your studies abroad on the picturesque shores of Grenada.

You will begin your journey to medical or veterinary school at Trent University, where you will spend four years completing an undergraduate degree in the program of your choice while being a part of the new Medical Professional Stream. Graduates who meet the requirements of the pathway will then travel to the oceanfront campus of St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies where you will be guaranteed entry into either it’s School of Medicine or School of Veterinary Medicine.

While at St. George’s, medical students will have the option to either spend their first two years studying in Grenada, or take advantage of the opportunity to complete their first year at Northumbria University in the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program in the UK then travel to Grenada for their second year of study. For your final two years of the degree program, you will then complete your clinical rotations at hospitals in the US or UK. Successful graduates of the SGU medical school are qualified to write their US and Canadian licensure exams and typically complete residencies in the US, Canada or the UK.

Students in the School of Veterinary Medicine will have the opportunity complete their first three years of study at St. George’s University, then spend their final clinical year at affiliated veterinary schools in the US, UK, Canada, Australia or Ireland. Successful graduates of the St. Georges School of Veterinary Medicine will leave licensed to practice in either Canada and the US.
