Welcome to Trent Online! All online courses will use Trent’s Learning System/Blackboard. For more information on Blackboard, see the Learning System Resource site or choose 'Help' from the top right corner in Blackboard.
Much like an on-campus course, you must prepare yourself for the upcoming term. Instead of buying supplies and finding class locations, you will need to prepare your computer so it will be reliable and allow you to complete your course.
Registering for an Online Course (Trent Students)
Login to the myTrent portal. Choose 'Academics'. Choose either Express Registration or 'Search and Register for Courses' icon.
Online courses are identified with a "Web-based Course" entry in the Location field, and they also have either a section letter of 'W' or 'V'.
Accessing your course
You will have access to your course in the Learning System/Blackboard for the first time five days before the start of the course.
Textbooks may still be required for your course. To order your textbooks, visit the Trent Bookstore. For a web-based course, choose ‘Peterborough’ when selecting your program and ‘W’ for the section.
Studying online away from campus can seem a bit intimidating, especially if you're not sure where to go for help when you need it.
