Students will have the opportunity to complete a clinical placement in each semester of the program, starting in their second semester for collaborative and compressed students, and first semester for post-RPN bridge to BScN program students. Students will be placed at a specific agency in groups where they will have be guided by a clinical instructor, and will learn hands on skills and experiences. Students will also have clinical learning centre sessions (lab and simulation) scheduled time specific to these courses. Fourth-year placements are independent practice courses and structured somewhat differently. The placements rotate year to year depending on resources and availability at specific agencies. Students will also be offered the opportunity to submit preferences if available however no placement type or agency is guaranteed.
