Trent Athletes of the Week

Trent University is proud to announce that Tim Ensom is the RILEY'S-JUNCTION Male Athlete of the Week for the week of November 15th. Tim is a member of the Trent rowing team and helped the men's eight finish in 5th place at the Canadian University Rowing Championships in Montreal. Tim hails from Ottawa, Ontario and is a 5th year Geography / Environmental Science student.

Trent University is proud to announce that Marie Laforme is the RILEY'S-JUNCTION Female Athlete of the Week for the week of November 15th. Marie is a member of the Trent rowing team and helped both the women's pair and the women's eight finish in 6th place at the Canadian University Rowing Championships in Montreal. Marie hails from Hamilton, Ontario and is a 3rd year Environmental Science / Biology student.

Appleby Competes at CIS Championships

Guelph, ON - The Trent University Cross Country team traveled to Guelph, Ontario, Saturday, November 13th for the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Cross Country Championships. Leading the way for Trent was Peterborough native Lee Appleby with a 65th place finish on the 10km course(34.00.7). "I ran a good race on a challenging course. It felt good to compete against the best runners in the country," said Lee Appleby.

Tamar Walsh Earns Bronze in Fencing

St. Catharines, ON - The Trent University fencing team competed at the Brock Open, Saturday November 13th. Tamar Walsh led the way with a bronze medal in the women's foil. Madihah Hepburn finished in tenth place in the women's foil, while Alison Pechlof finished in eighth place in the women's epee.

Trent Volleyball Wins Tournament

Peterborough, ON - The Trent University women's volleyball team won the Fleming Invitational Volleyball Tournament, Saturday, November 13th. Trent finished the round robin in second place with five wins out of a possible 8. In the finals, Trent defeated Seneca College by a score of 2-1(25-22, 25-27, 15-13). "We had a great tournament, everyone was focused on the task at hand, and it showed what we're capable of when play at our best," said Assistant Coach Adam Ruck. Trent plays Durham College, Thursday, November 18th.
