Award-winning film maker to give presentation at the Peterborough Library

Award-winning documentary film maker Richard Bocking will be showing one of his celebrated films and discussing his work at 7:30 p.m. at the Peterborough Public Library on Thursday, February, 14. Bocking is the Ashley Fellow in Residence at Champlain College, Trent University.

His film, "Jon Vickers: A Man and His Music," a portrait of the great Canadian tenor, was considered the best documentary film of the year when it was released in 1975. Following the screening, Bocking will talk about the many challenges involved in making this film.

Bocking is among Canada's most distinguished producers of documentary films, including among over 60 productions, the highly lauded The Music of Man, filmed around the world with Yehudi Menuhin. Bocking is unique in his wide experience of documenting theatre and music on film.

This event is open to the public and free of charge.
