Trent University to Honour Top Athletes on March 27

Trent University's Department of Athletics & Recreation will honour its top athletes at the 34th annual Athletic Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 27, beginning at 7:15 p.m. at the University's Athletic Complex.

The University's most prestigious athletic award, the Arthur Cup, will be presented to graduates who have demonstrated outstanding contribution, sportsmanship, participation, and leadership to athletic programs. In addition, individual awards will be presented to varsity athletes competing in soccer, rugby, rowing, curling, cross country running, swimming, fencing, field hockey, and volleyball.

Alumna and former Arthur Cup recipient Patty Forward, and her husband Rudy Massimo (Outward Bound Canada), are scheduled to speak about their experiences in sport and recreation, and the impact of this involvement in their personal and professional lives.

Trent University competes in twelve varsity sports with the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Organization, Ontario University Athletics, the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association, and at the club level.
