Most successful student visit program

Liaison staff in the Registrar's Office report that Trent had its most successful March Break Open House program ever for prospective students and their parents. Approximately 1,500 visitors came to Trent, which was a 50 per cent increase over previous years.

Visitors came from Red Lake, Vancouver, Connecticut, Tennessee, Ottawa, Sarnia, Toronto, Peterborough, and there was also a group from Cuba.

Liaison thanks faculty, staff and students for their energy and time in making the program so successful. Many positive comments were received. Here's a sampling from visiting students and parents: "Everyone was really friendly, knowledgeable and patient. They made me feel really welcome!" - visitor from London, "Thanks so much for the science tours - I am extremely impressed." - Brampton, "Yes, I'm coming! I must commend Trent for an excellent Open House. After my other visits this week I am proud of Trent as a university and am proud to say that I will be attending." - Deep River, "This has always been my first choice, and after today, I can definitely see this place being a second home to me." - Courtice.
