Olympic Summer Games 2008

A delegation preparing a bid to bring the 2008 Olympic Summer Games to Toronto visited Trent recently. Peterborough City Council wants to host a youth camp during the Olympics and invited Morley Kells, the Ontario Olympics commissioner, to look at accommodations, food, security and meeting space at Trent. About 1,500 young people would be involved.

Peterborough is one of seven municipalities in the province which are interested in hosting events, that Kells has visited.
