The concept of wellbeing in the workplace recognizes the importance of mental health and wellness, and focuses on promoting healthy workspaces through positive, supportive, and respectful work environments. This workshop provides an overview of harmful workplace behaviours, such as bullying, harassment, and violence, that contribute to toxic work environments. Activities and discussion focus on understanding the nature and implications of aggression in various work contexts (both formal and informal). Themes covered in this workshop would be of interest to beginners (those being introduced to the topics) and those who are looking to build on their knowledge and learn more about the causes and impacts of bullying, violence, and harassment at work.
Topics covered include the following:
- Defining workplace bullying, workplace harassment, and workplace violence
