We will be hosting Gideon Forman from the David Suzuki Foundation to give a talk about the current climate crisis as part of his tour of universities across the country. This event is free to attend, and all who come will be entered to win a door prize! As well, there will be free food from the Seasoned Spoon available for all!
The first 20 minutes of the event will be a presentation and the last 40 minutes is open for questions and discussion. Students are encouraged to bring their questions about the climate crisis and related topics.
Gideon Forman has a MA in Philosophy from McGill University and a certificate in renewable energy from the University of Toronto. He also has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Forman is a former executive director of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment. His expertise lies in climate policy, transportation and clean energy. His passions are in urban nature and finding wild animals moving through the city.
