#FacesOfTrentU: Studying Abroad Enriches Trent Experience
Nicole Boere, Environmental & Resource Studies and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems
"To anyone considering studying abroad as part of their degree, I can't recommend it enough. The opportunity to study across the world while still working on your degree is incredible!”
Nicole Boere fell in love with Trent University’s breathtaking natural beauty the moment she stepped on campus but she has no regrets about travelling to the U.K. to study abroad as part of her degree. In fact, the global experience has made her more excited than ever to come home to Trent to finish her joint major in Environmental & Resource Studies and Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems.
“I never imagined I'd be living in the UK studying, travelling and meeting so many amazing people,” she said. “This year has been challenging and fulfilling and so exciting! It has given me new perspectives, ideas and opinions about the world, myself and my field of study and I feel more comfortable and excited than ever to come back home to Trent and complete my degree next year."
In her downtime overseas, Ms. Boere travels through Ireland, Spain and England.
