Dr. Tim Cook '90, Trent University alumnus, Canadian War Museum historian, Order of Canada Member, and award-winning author of 11 books of history, will offer a public lecture on the legacy of Canada’s Great War. Having just passed through the centenary of the war years, Dr. Cook will examine the multiple legacies of the Great War of 1914 to 1918 and its enduring impact on Canadian politics, society, identity, and culture. He will also explore how the war and the terrible sacrifice of lives continue to haunt Canada and much of the world.
His book, The Secret History of Soldiers, will be on sale for $25 (cash only).
