Trent University Celebrates Women’s Lacrosse Bronze Medal
OUA success for Trent Excalibur recognized
The Excalibur women’s lacrosse team was celebrated on Wednesday, November 28 for their bronze medal win on home turf in late October.
Greeted by family, friends and supporters from the Trent community, the women’s lacrosse team was recognized for their Ontario University Athletics (OUA) bronze medal win, their second medal in just three years. Following congratulatory remarks from Dr. Leo Groarke, president and vice-chancellor of Trent University, coaches and players took to the podium to share highlights of the season, and thank Trent, their friends and family members for their support.
“We were very excited to have had the opportunity to host the OUA Lacrosse Championships this year, and we were incredibly dedicated to achieving everything we could,” said head coach Tori Wasson. “The bronze is a great accomplishment and we are very excited to bring more wins to Trent in the future.”
Trent University in partnership with the City of Peterborough and Fleming College will also be hosting the Under-19 World Women’s Lacrosse Championship in August 2019.
