Student Centre Taking Shape: Summer Progress brings Building Closer to Completion
Highly-anticipated new building on track for fall 2017 opening
Students returning to Trent’s Symons Campus this September will see their brand new Student Centre starting to take shape. When students left in the spring, the site was just another parking lot. Today, construction of the highly-anticipated Student Centre, located next to the Bata Library, is well underway and more progress is being made every week.
Slated to open in fall 2017, the new Student Centre will offer students at the Symons campus a new place to socialize, learn, study, and engage in life on campus.
"This project started with a conversation between the Trent Central Student Association (TCSA) and Trent University many years ago. It is exciting to see years of hard work by both students and Trent finally come together,” said Alaine Spiwak, president of the TCSA. “The building of our new Student Centre is symbolic of the growth of Trent, and we are eager for current and future students to utilize this fantastic space on campus."
