Sharing Ideas across Disciplines: Annual Enweying Event
Students and faculty gather for annual event highlighting “the way we speak together”
In true Trent style, leading faculty from numerous different disciplines including Environmental Resource Studies, Political Studies, Indigenous Studies, Psychology, History, and Forensic Science came together recently to share ideas and encourage discussion at Enweying: An Event About Extraordinary Ideas.
"It was very cool how, without meaning to, every faculty presentation connected to each other - education connected to cell biology and the creation of community and the environment and student resiliency. A truly interdisciplinary experience," explained Lexie Houghton, fourth year Concurrent Education student who attended the event.
Enweying, an annual pan-Colleges event, aims to open a dialogue between students, faculty, alumni and community members. The conversation for this year’s event focused on the importance of relationships and communities who learn together.
