TRENT DEVELOPMENT OFFICE WINS NATIONAL SILVER PRIX D'EXCELLENCE AWARD FROM THE CCAE

The Development Office at Trent University received a Silver Prix D'Excellence Award from the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) in the "Best Program: Small Shop" category.

The award was presented to Sherry Booth of the Development Office this week at the CCAE conference in Saskatoon.

The award recognizes the university's 'Alumni Participation Challenge' program. The participation challenge was a direct mail and phone solicitation program. Through the alumni challenge, Trent alum contacted fellow alumni who graduated in the same year.

"The success of our program was its interactive nature and the way in which alum were encouraged to participate at a very different level in an annual giving campaign," says Sherry Booth, Trent's Coordinator of Annual Giving. "The award is a wonderful tribute to efforts of all of our alum who continue to be so supportive of Trent University."

Trent has won four awards for its fundraising and communication programs. Information about the CCAE awards is available from the conference web site at www.ccae.canada.org.
