TRENT TO HOST QUARTER-FINAL RUGBY GAME

Men’s varsity team leads division

The men’s varsity rugby team at Trent continues to hold first place in its division, and will play host to the University of Waterloo team on Saturday, October 26, in a quarter-final play-off game.

"This is big news for Trent," says Athletics Director Bill Byrick, adding that this is the first time Trent can boast such a high level of rugby play.

The game begins at 1 p.m. at the main athletics field at Trent University. All are welcome to attend and cheer on the Trent team.

Note to media: On Wednesday, October 23, an afternoon rugby clinic will take place on campus with Canadian national rugby team player Scott Stewart. Members of the men’s and women’s rugby teams at Trent will attend the clinic from 1 – 3 p.m. at the main athletics field, and members of the media are welcome to attend.For more information contact:
