ALUMNI LECTURE WILL ADDRESS "MASS MARKET SELF-HELP" ISSUES

Trent University’s ninth annual Alumni Lecture will be held on Wednesday, March 5, and will reveal some intriguing information about self-help and study, self-directed learning and personal change. Alumnus Adam Guzkowski (’95) will be the featured speaker.

Called "Learning to Li(v)e: Mass Market ‘Self-Help’ and the Pedagogy of Personal Transformation," the lecture will take a critical, yet optimistic, look at issues of self-help.

Mr. Guzkowski graduated from Trent University in 1999, and is currently completing an M.A. at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, with an emphasis in holistic and aesthetic education.

The lecture will begin at 8 p.m. in the Champlain College Lecture Hall. This is a free event and is open to the public.
