TALKABOUT

Farewell to three
Extend best wishes to budget office manager Joan Hamilton, who leaves Trent at the end of this month after 20 years, at an open house Dec. 15 in Blackburn Hall lecture theatre from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Three long-serving employees at Trent say their farewells this month.

Budget office manager Joan Hamilton is retiring this month after 21 years at Trent. Colleagues are wishing her good luck at an open house Dec. 15 as she embarks on her next journey -- a tour around the United States with her husband in their recreational vehicle -- "with only her own personal budgets to administer." Drop in at Blackburn Hall lecture hall between 2:30 and 5 p.m. to say good bye.

Charlene Bridger, administrative assistant in the Athletics Department, leaves after 18 years and Erik Wilke, construction planning co-ordinator in Physical Resources, after eight. All three have opted for the assisted severance plan offered last February to staff with five years or more of service. Bridger plans to do bookkeeping for her husband's business and devote her attention to the Kawartha Golf and Country Club, where she is ladies club captain and a director on the club's board. Wilke plans to hang his architect's shingle in Peterborough.
