Join the Society of Undergraduate Mathematics Students (SUMS) for its first annual symposium

The Society of Undergraduate Mathematics Students (SUMS) is hosting its 1st Annual Trent Mathematical Sciences Research Symposium on Saturday April 7 in the Student Centre, Event Space.

Details: Registration Opens: 9:00am
             Opening remarks: 9:45am
             Guest Speakers/Student Presentations Begin: 10:00am

Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and guests are invited to sit in on a variety of student talks, from pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and general-interest science and technology.

Several guest speakers will be giving presentations including:

  1. Nickolas Rollick, University of Waterloo “Mistakes Don’t Matter: Getting the Message Without Getting the Message”
  2. Ming Ming Zang, Carleton University “Cryptography Using Group Therapy”

All are welcome! Lunch will be provided, so come relax, enjoy fun talks, and pick up some swag!
