Trent University Library & Archives continues to offer electronic collections and virtual services. As part of the University’s limited and reduced campus presence, Bata Library and the Durham GTA Campus Library & Learning Centre are closed and physical collections are unavailable. Trial: Films on Demand and Archival Films & Newsreels

Members of the Trent community have access to the following trial databases for the month of November 2019.

Films on Demand is a digital video streaming service which offers access to educational videos from a variety of producers including A&E, PBS, the BBC, National Geographic, HBO Documentary Films, Bill Moyers, Films for the Humanities & Sciences, and more. The Master Academic Collection brings together over 37,000 videos from many areas of study, including health &medicine, humanities & social sciences, science & mathematics, business & economics, as well as archival films & newsreels.

Archival Films & Newsreels is a digital video streaming service which offers access to over 13,000 video clips and 4,700 full length films from a variety of producers including British Pathe, Fedflix, Looks, International, Nat’l Archives & Records Administration, NBC News, Prelinger Archives, The WPA Film Library, United News, Universal Newsreel.
