Trent GIS Research Day

Date: Thursday, November 17, 2022

Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Location: Bata Library Room 411

Everyone Welcome!

Trent Library's Maps, Data & Government Information Centre is delighted to invite you to participate in our annual Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day Research Talks.  The purpose of this event is to demonstrate to the university community how GIS and related spatial visualization technologies and techniques can be used in research in many academic disciplines. We look forward to hearing from our diverse community of researchers regarding how space and place influence their research. Whether you are exploring Shakespeare’s world through maps, predicting the position of ancient civilizations, mapping wolf distribution, disease incidence, or income distribution, this is an opportunity to showcase applications, share ideas and explore potential collaborations.

We invite Trent faculty, students, and affiliated researchers to submit proposals for talks of 3 minutes, 10 minutes or 20 minutes or posters showing their work. Please submit proposals for talks and posters by Friday, October 28 at 4 p.m. completing the form at:  https://forms.office.com/r/m2BD6a7nGT

Late abstracts will be considered slots permitting.

Everyone is welcome to attend this event. GIS Day Cake will be served!
