GIS Day: Join Us

GIS Day is held around the world during Geography Awareness Week to celebrate the contributions of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geographical knowledge to understanding the world.

As part of its commitment to support the development and integration of geospatial technologies across academic disciplines, Trent University Library will be hosting GIS Research talks and an exhibit of posters later this term. The purpose of this event is to present to the university community the possibilities of using GIS and related technologies and techniques in research.

Research talks will be 10 minutes each and focus on one project. Members of the university community and regional partners interested in participating through submitting a poster or giving a talk on how they use GIS techniques in their research are invited to contact us by 15 October 2017.
