Using the KEEP Feature in the Library Catalogue

The library catalogue offers a feature called Keep, which temporarily stores a list of the items you select. The list is kept only until you perform another search, or the current search session times out. 

  • If you click "Search" again, your session ends and your list is deleted.
  • Navigate through screens using the Go Back button and NOT your browser arrows.

Select Items to Keep

To use the Keep feature you must have a record or a list of records on your screen.

    • Click the "Keep" box on the left side of the record to add an item to your Kept folder. 
    • Continue to add items until your list is complete.
    • At any point you can look at your Kept list, but be sure to use the Go Back button to return to your search results.

        Click Kept at the top of the screen to view your list.

        • You have the option to remove, sort, print, or email your items. 
        • You can also determine the view: Brief, All, or Full.  The Brief record is usually enough information for you to save.
        • Email records to yourself by entering your email address and clicking "EMail". The message will come from the library system (libsys) and the subject line will say "From WEBSERVER at port #".
        • View your results before printing or e-mailing, to see what your list will look like.
        • The records are formatted in a typical "card catalogue" style.
