New Book Purchase Requests

Requests for new books to be added to the Trent University Durham GTA Library & Learning Centre can be sent by email to, or you can use the Online Requisition Form. Please note that due to budget limitations, textbooks are not purchased with Library funds. It is expected that your students purchase any required textbooks.


To place an item on Reserve in the Library complete a Reserve Request Form. See the Reserve Policy for information about placing items on Reserve.  If you have personal copies of books you would like placed on reserve, we would be happy to accommodate this.


Before you make copyrighted materials available to students in any form please review Trent's Copyright Guidelines and Fair Dealing Guidelines to ensure you are not violating copyright. Any questions can be directed to the Copyright Office.

Library Instruction classes

If you would like library skills instruction for your class, please contact the library in person or send an email to,. Workshops can be tailored to your needs and scheduled at a time that is convenient for your class.  For more in-depth, hands-on workshops, the Computer Lab (Room 112) can be booked with advance notice.

The Library maintains the following AV equipment:

  • Mobile Computer Projector
  • Power Point Clicker

You may book these items in advance for use in class on a one-time, or recurring basis. To book AV equipment, please contact
