This painting is a representation of the life and death of Charlie Wenjack. The figure is of a boy surrounded by images of his tragic final hours. The jar holding six matches, the stylized railroad track, jagged and uneven, to represent the uncertain path, even the spirit to the far right, calling him home, yet leading him to darkness.
