Biographical history
The Addison family members are descendants of Mark Robinson, Ranger and Superintendent of Algonquin Park from 1907-1936. Ottelyn Addison is the daughter of Mark Robinson, and was born in 1909. Her children are William D. Addison, Peter M. Addison, and Edward M. Addison. Ottelyn spent her childhood summers in Algonquin Park, and has written two books about Algonquin Park, "Early Days in Algonquin Park", and "Tom Thomson, The Algonquin Years". She was also editor of "The Young Naturalist" and "The Richmond Hill Naturalist Bulletin". Ottelyn currently lives in Aurora, Ontario.

Biographical history
Mark Robinson was Superintendent and Ranger in Algonquin Park between 1908 and 1941. He served as an Army officer with the Canadian Militia during the First World War. He resided in Barrie and Elmvale, Ontario with his wife and Children but spent many months each year in Algonquin Park.
Custodial history
This fonds was in the custody of the Addison family before it was donated to Trent University Archives via John Wadland.
Scope and content
This fonds consists of diaries and enclosed documents of Mark Robinson, Ranger and Superintendent of Algonquin Park from 1907-1936.
Box 1 contains diaries for the years 1908-1930. Box 2 contains diaries for the years 1931-1941.
