Employment Opportunities at the Trent University Library

Student Positions

Currently, all student positions in the Library are available through the Trent Work Study Program. This program is open to all Canadian domestic students who demonstrate financial need. All students receiving OSAP, or funding from another provincial student aid program, are automatically eligible for the TWSP program. To be eligible for student employment in the library, you will need to receive an email from the Financial Aid office confirming you are  "TWSP eligible".

For more information about on-campus employment please see the Work Study webpages from Financial Aid.

Available Library Work Study positions are posted on  My Job Board. Along with an application, students are required to complete a Shift Selection Ballot Form. See Career Centre for more details.

Staff Positions

Available positions in the library are advertised on the Trent University Human Resources site. All positions are posted and filled through this office. Applications must be sent to Human Resources.

    Librarian Positions

Librarians are part of the Faculty Association at Trent University. Available positions are posted through the Dean's Office. When positions are available, find them under Full Time and Part Time opportunities.

Postings are also sent to major library school jobsites. Each posting specifies the application procedures required for that position.

Librarian positions require a Masters degree from an ALA-accredited library school (MLIS or equivalent).
