This room is equipped to support both local and video conference presentations. With an in-room networked computer, 2 60 inch LCD displays, video cameras, laptop input adapter (HDMI) and in-room microphones it can also be used for delivering webinars or virtual meetings using Zoom. Getting Started in the Room
Locate the touch panel on the podium at the front left of the room.
If the screen is blank, touch it anywhere to wake it up.
Getting Started with the Touch Panel
This is the first screen you should see upon waking the panel. Touch anywhere to bring up the main menu.
Starting a Local Presentation
To begin using the room for a local presentation only, choose your desired source from the list. This will turn on the right display and show the appropriate image from your source.
To adjust volume during a local presentation, simply press the up or down arrow in the volume box on the right of every screen.
When you are done your presentation, please be sure to turn off the system by using the Shutdown button. Instructions for this button are below on last page.
Starting a Video Conference Session
To begin using the room for video conferencing, choose the Video Conference / Distance Education button from the source list. This will turn on both displays and show the Polycom system.
When you are finished your conference or class, please be sure to turn off the system by using the Shutdown button. Instructions for this button are below on the last page.
Video Conference Controls
This is the first page you will see when starting a Video Conference session. Here, you can control the cameras both in your room and in the far room.
To change which camera is active, select the appropriate button in the camera selection section. Once a camera is selected, use the Presets, Movement, and Zoom controls to set up the best view.
To dial another participant, use the Dialing Control tab.
To share your content source (laptop or PC), select the Input/Camera tab then tap the desired content source.
To navigate the on-screen Polycom menu, choose the Menu Control tab.
Audio: All microphones going to the far participant can be muted by pressing the Mic button in the bottom right corner. The volume at which you hear the far participants can be adjusted using the volume up and down buttons on the right.
Video Conference – Dialing
The Dialing Control tab can be used for dialing a Zoom meeting (meeting ID required) or advanced dialing that requires an IP or address to be entered. For more help with advanced dialing, please call the help desk at extension 1010.
Video Conference – Sharing Content
To send your content to the far participants, from the Input/Camera tab, you can select which content source to send.
To stop sending any content, simply choose the Stop Content button.
When you are finished using the equipment in the room, please press the Shutdown button found in the top right corner of every screen. You are presented with the option to cancel in case you accidentally pressed the Shutdown button. To continue with ending your session, press the green “Yes” button. To return to the previous screen, press the red “No” button.
System shut down will disconnect all audio and video calls and put the displays into sleep mode.
