
YuJa - Recording with Software Capture
YuJa Software Capture enables users to record and live stream presentations (audio and video) on your personal and select lectern computers. To get started, login to the computer and open your course menu in Blackboard then click YuJa Video Platform on the tool menu.
(Note: If a link for YuJa Video Platform does not exist follow these instructions to add it.)
On the YuJa menu click Create Recording
Click START. If you're a first time user click Download to install the program.
In the Title field enter course name such as Math-101, in the Description the date. Confirm the VIDEO and AUDIO settings are correct for your computer. Your SCREEN content is automatically selected but can be deselected. If needed, use the pull-down buttons to adjust your settings. Make sure your microphone is turned on and try speaking a few words to confirm a good audio level is being received by the recorder as shown under MIC SOURCE. When you are ready to begin click START.
You may stop or pause recording at any time using the control buttons in the lower right.
When you are finished click the stop button in the lower right to stop.
Click SAVE on the next screen to upload your recorded session to the YuJa server where it will be available later for viewing, editing and embedding in Blackboard.
You recording session is complete and you may close the program.
