Technology Guide for Single Projector Room (MPC3)

The technology in this room supports local presentation with the following equipment:
- Lectern computer (DVD/CD) with TrentNet, Internet (Trent login ID required)
- Crestron control panel for audio visual control and content switching
- Laptop adapter cable for HDMI input
- 1 Video projector (HDCP compliant), 1 projection Screen
- Classroom sound system
- Adjustable height lectern

Starting a Local Presentation
To begin using the room for a class presentation, power on the Lectern PC in the equipment rack and login with your Trent username and password. If presenting from a personal USB memory device, connect the device to the PC. Open your presentation content. When you are ready to present, press POWER ON on the control panel to start the projector and lower the screen. Press LECTERN PC on the control panel to select that source. Optionally, present from a personal laptop by connecting to the HDMI cable on the lectern. When you're ready to present, press LAPTOP to select that source.You may need to press Windows + P on your laptop to mirror your display. The optimal display resolution for presentation is 1280 x 800 which can be set through your desktop properties (Windows) or System Preferences (Mac). Note; Mac users will need to bring the appropriate Apple video adapter to connect with the lectern HDMI adapter cable.
Switch from one input source to another as desired using the LAPTOP and LECTERN PC buttons.
To adjust classroom audio volume during a local presentation, simply use the Volume dial on the right of the panel.
Temporarily cancel video projection by pressing DISPLAY MUTE. Press again to re-enable projection.
The projection screen can be raised or lowered any time using the SCREEN UP/SCREEN DOWN buttons.
When you are finished using the equipment in the room, logoff the local PC and press POWER OFF on the panel to shutdown the projector and raise the screen.
Also remember to: remove and personal memory devices (ie. USB stick) from the lectern PC.
