Technology Guide for LHS C102 (MPC-M5)

In addition to 20 lab computers and 1 network printer (pay with TrentU card) there is basic presentation technology to assist you in the facilitation of your class:

List of audio visual components shown below:

  1. Audio visual control button panel
  2. Instructor's computer (login with your Trent username and password)
  3. Laptop adapter cable (HDMI)
  4. 70 inch LCD room display

Audio Visual Control Panel (1)

Presenting from the Instructor's Computer (2)

  1. Power on the room display (4) by pressing POWER ON on the audio visual control panel (1)
  2. Press PC on the control panel to select this presentation source
  3. Power on Instructor computer (2) beside the room display
  4. Login with your Trent username and password and open your presentation to share with class
  5. Adjust system audio volume as needed using the  VOL buttons on the control panel

Presenting from a Laptop

  1. Start your laptop
  2. Open your presentation
  3. When you are ready to share your content with the class, connect the HDMI laptop adapter cable (3) to your laptop
  4. Power on the room display (4) by pressing POWER ON on the audio visual control panel
  5. Press LAPTOP on the control panel (1) to select your presentation source
  6. Adjust system audio volume as needed using the  VOL buttons on the control panel

When You Are Finished

  1. Log off the Instructor PC.
  2. Power off the room display (4) by pressing POWER OFF on the control panel.
  3. If a laptop was used, shut it down and disconnect it from the adapter cable.
