Known Issue - Desk Top Icons

Issue:  Desktop icons are not appearing on the desktop

Operating System: 

Windows 10

Audience: 

Trent Imaged, Domain-Joined

Description of the issue:

After a successful login on a Trent Imaged\Managed\domain-joined computer desktop, icons from the mapped H:\ drive do not appear on the desktop.

Workaround: 

  1. Download this Registry file named "usershell.reg" from NextCloud, using the Download button below the file icon.
  2. Click on the file that downloads to begin the install.

  1. At the Open File - Security Warning screen, choose the RUN button, to install the workaround.

  1. Restart your computer.
