Azure MFA - Updating and Changing MFA Methods
From time to time, you may need to change and update the methods (app, SMS number, call) that are enabled on your account. This guide will outline the steps required to make changes to the devices you use with MFA to authenticate.
Updating / Changing MFA methods.
- Login to the myTrent portal and select Services from the top menu. Scroll to IT services and select the icon for manage MFA.
- The preferred method box lists which method the MFA system will use first to try and complete the authentication. You can change it from the drop-down to the options listed.
- Use the tick boxes and text boxes to update or change any of the information listed for text messages (authentication phone) or office phone. You can have multiple numbers added to the system as well, in case multiple numbers are required to reach you.
- To set up a new app-based authentication, click the set up authenticator app button and complete the instructions on the screen.
When completed, click Save to save changes.
