Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security process that requires an additional layer of confirmation before you can access sensitive information. When logging in from off-campus you'll be required to verify your login by answering a pop-up on your mobile phone, entering a code from an app, answering a call, or typing a number that appears on a card. If your account is compromised or used by a third party they won't be able to complete the second login step, and therefore won't be able to access your account.
