Chrome WebStations

    Description:

    The Chrome WebStations provide a simple and easy way for any individuals to access basic web based content and services. No login is required at these Kiosks and once you're in you have a Chrome browser at your finger tips. Access your email, myTrent, basic Library resources in an instant. Log into Facebook or Twitter or any other social media outlet. If you need to print something quickly, individuals can access Webprint or they can utilize the new Google Cloud Print services.

    The Chrome stations will be set up in three locations across two campuses. The first location is in Bata Library on the 2nd floor between the self checkout machine and the lab printers. At this time there will be five stations available, two of which will be on height adjustable tables. At the Durham campus we will see two stations setup on two height adjustable tables opposite the entrance to the Library while another two will be mounted above the counter on the wall in the cafeteria.

    Benefits and features:

    • No hassle kiosk logins
    • Session information is removed on log out (manually or after 5 minutes of inactivity)
    • Quick and easy access to predefined Trent University bookmarks
    • Easy access to social media sites and any other websites
    • Print services available through Papercut WebPrint or Google Cloud Printing (presently restricted to students)
