IT Service Outages Update
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
Update as of 11:15am Tuesday, May 24, 2022
First, my apologies to those of you who received Tech Bulletins yesterday out of order. The email queues were slow likely due to high volume and low throughput. The first bulletin went out around 12:30pm and the second bulletin after power was restored was sent approximately 3:45pm.
Earlier this morning IT staff were again dealing with issues affecting several applications related to the power outage and subsequent recovery. Some applications affected included (but not limited to) the Portal, VIP, Colleague and Self-Service. The outage was sudden and the amount of downtime was significant, so there could very well still be application problems for IT to solve. We are working through a large ticket volume, but please continue to report errors or irregularities to it@trentu.ca .
