S: Drive Scheduled Outage
Dear Trent Staff and Faculty;
From Friday (July 28th) at 11 pm until Saturday at 6 pm, the S: drive will be unavailable as we replace the server currently hosting that drive. No other IT services will be affected by this upgrade.
If you access the network with a PC, or with a mac using the Kanaka client, please log out of your computer before you leave for the day on Friday to avoid any temporary errors when you return. Simply log in as normal when you return on Monday, and the S: drive should appear as normal.
If you access the S: drive from a mac without using the Kanaka client, then you will need to change the server name from RUBBLE to GRAVEL the next time you connect to the drive. (Please see attached screenshot.)
