The security of digital data and devices is a common concern in any organization. Encryption is becoming more and more a part of digital life, but what exactly does it mean and how does it work. More importantly, how do I keep my devices and data safe?
IT is excited to announce a new workshop on device security and encryption, open to all staff faculty and students. The workshop will take place with two delivery modes to ensure anyone who wishes to attend can access this important information.
- The first event is an in-person workshop on December 12th at 10:00 AM in BL-103 – topics will include device security fundamentals, an overview of encryption and a tutorial on what encryption actually does. Please sign up at http://www2.trentu.ca/cgi-bin/tutorials.cgi/encryption1
- The second event is the same workshop, but in a webinar format taking place on December 12th at 1:00 PM – The topics will be the same, but delivered over a video conference format so you can join from anywhere.
