Tech Bulletin: Presenting wirelessly from your mobile device

IT Service: AirMedia

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Did you know that some Trent classrooms support presenting wirelessly from your mobile device through AirMedia?

Using AirMedia, you can walk into one of the classrooms listed below and wirelessly present PowerPoint, Excel, and Word documents, PDFs, photos, web pages and screen shots from your iOS or Android mobile device. Mac and Windows devices also connect seamlessly and can mirror the screen and audio.

How does it work?

  1. In the classroom, select AirMedia as the presentation source on the AV control panel. The connection IP address to use is found on the AirMedia home screen on the room display.
  2. With iOS or Android mobile devices, simply download the Crestron AirMedia app and enter the IP address and code found on the AirMedia home screen or on the AV control panel.

For Mac and Windows devices, simply navigate to the IP address shown on the AirMedia home screen in any web browser and download and run the small application to mirror your screen using the access code shown on the AirMedia home screen or the AV control panel.
