Brief Internet Outage
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,
On Thursday August 4 at 9:45 am, the university internet connection was down for approximately 10 minutes.
During the outage, users writing online exams in Blackboard may have encountered errors while saving questions. However, the outage was not long enough to close the tests, and answers were saved when the connection was restored.
Cause and Resolution:
The outage was a result of an unexpected delay with our secondary firewall taking over when our primary firewall restarted.
Our technicians are now investigating the root cause of the issue and will take corrective measures as soon as possible to avoid any similar outages in the future.
