This session will feature Blackboard tips and tricks aimed at making your use of the Blackboard system more productive and efficient, and most importantly – avoiding disaster. We’ll discuss best practices for submitting work and tests, Blackboard course design, tracking features and the easiest way to get support for common Blackboard issues. Additionally, this session will also feature an extensive Q&A session where you can ask questions about issues that affect your use of Blackboard, and get solutions to your issues.

This hands-on lunch and learn session will introduce you to some of the key features of the Windows 10 operating system. Topics will include the Start Menu, pinning, settings, navigating the desktop, using multiple desktops, searching for programs and files, OneDrive.

The myTrent Forms System: Automating Forms Submission
With the advent of the digital age and the growing pressure to conserve our natural resources and protect the environment, we conduct more and more of our business online. To this end, Trent has developed an electronic form system within the myTrent Portal, which can be used to streamline your internal processes, automate the collection of data to targeted audiences within the Trent community, and massively reduce the amount of paper you use. This course will introduce staff to the form builder system, walk them through the creation of a test form, and give them the access to create forms of their own.

From IT Novice to IT Expert: The IT Badging System
This hands-on lunch and learn session will introduce you to the Badging system in the IT Training Portal. The Badging system provides training modules on a variety of IT topics such as Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Windows 10 and Blackboard to name a few.

Virtual Reality in Education: What is on the Horizon?
The utilization of Virtual Reality (VR) for educational purposes is on the rise. VR is changing from technical curiosity to a useful tool and perhaps even a productive enhancement to human interaction. VR has moved from being the purview of the military and aviation to the mainstream of professional development, as managers, instructors, coaches and therapists have claimed increasing benefit from immersive experiences. Many companies are springing up that show steady growth in the VR educational market (including zSpace, Alchemy VR and Immersive VR Education).
