Community Meal and Mapping the Land
- Date: Monday, February 6, 2023 - 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Building: Seasoned Spoon Cafe in Champlain College
Room: Seasoned Spoon
We are Trent Students, Staff, Alumni, and community members who love this place known as the Trent Land, Air, and Waters.
Join us in celebration of the Trent Nature Areas and Otonabee River to which we belong and are related.
We will be hosting a gathering with a Community Meal and Mapping the Land on Monday, February 6, at the Seasoned Spoon. Registration is appreciated.
At 3:30pm, Elder Dorothy Taylor will lead us in ceremony connecting our intentions with the Land and Jamie Williams will take us on guided tour as we bring attention to this special place known as the Trent Lands and Waters.
At 5:00pm, we will enjoy a free community meal and get creative with mapping/collaging our relations to the Trent Nature Areas and Otonabee River. You are invited to bring gifts or items from your interactions with the Land and Waters and share your stories and memories.
With gratitude for the Trent Vegetable Garden folks who grew the food and talented Seasoned Spoon cooks who will prepare the meal.
We hope to see you there.
